13 Uni-Kitty in Bozeman Montana, 2017 / $850 Acrylic yarn from Bozeman Montana thrift stores on plastic canvas. Created at the Silver Streak Residency in Bozeman, Montana. This piece was made using vintage yarn from local thrift stores and its image is inspired by Drinking Horse Mountain, which overlooked the artist’s residence. Frost uses the Lego Uni-Kitty to represent corporate interests and capitalism in this work. Much of the land around Drinking Horse Mountain is being bought up by wealthy out-of-state residents and limiting farmers’ access to grazing lands and affordable property.
